Frequently asked questions.

How long can my Nomad™ firepit burn?

With a full 20 lb. propane tank on full heat the Nomad™ firepit will burn for around 8 hours depending on environmental conditions (temperature / wind speed / exposure of burn location etc.).

What is the total weight of the Nomad™ firepit components?

The Nomad™ firepit was built to move. The firepit shell is only 43 lbs. with feet installed and can easily be moved around a patio and transported using the handle openings. The fire rock included with the fire pit is a total of 48 lbs. and a full 20lb propane tank is 37 lbs. When the propane tank and rock are in the unit it will total at 128 lbs. Separately each component is under 50 lbs. to maintain portability.

How much assembly is required to start using my Nomad™ firepit?

Don’t worry! We did most of the work for you! Your Nomad™ firepit requires minimal installation before you can fire it up and kick back with your patios new best friend. After unboxing, the only installation required is to secure the feet on the bottom of the unit. Each leg requires a washer and a bolt with a phillips head which are provided with the firepit. Please review the above unboxing and installation video or the Nomad™ manual for further instructions.

How do I ignite my Nomad™ firepit?

To Light:

1. Make sure the gas key valve is fully turned to the off position (clockwise).

2. Clicking the upper right corner of the fire pit door, open the door and slowly open the valve on the propane tank by turning the knob counterclockwise.

3. Close the door by contacting the magnet to the door and clicking the upper right corner to re-engage the magnet push latch.

4. With your matches or candle lighter at the ready turn the gas key valve a quarter turn counterclockwise using the gas key and quickly light the appliance keeping a safe distance. During the ignition process, one should NEVER get their face close to and/or above the burner, in case the flame may suddenly light up and cause injury.

5. After the appliance is lit and flame is stable adjust flame as desired using the gas key and gas key valve. Store the gas key separate from the gas key valve to avoid unexpected adjustments in flame height.

To Extinguish:

1. Turn the gas key valve securely to the “off” position (clockwise) using the gas key.

2. Gently push the upper right corner of the fire pit door and open the door.

3. Turn the propane gas cylinder valve securely to the “off” position (clockwise).

4. Disconnect the propane cylinder if not using for a period of time.

5. Close the door by contacting the magnet to the door and clicking the upper right corner to re-engage the magnet push latch.

Always Allow a Complete Shutdown Period of 5 Minutes Between Uses Before Re-Lighting the Appliance.

Always wait for the appliance to completely cool and remove the gas key from the key valve before putting the cover on.

We will let you know as soon as the unit is in and get it on its way to you.

How do I safely travel with my Nomad™ firepit?

The Nomad™ firepit can go with you wherever life takes you (outdoors). Bringing it along safely is very important. Before loading up your Nomad always remove the fire rock and propane tank and store them separately to avoid damage to the unit during transit. After removing the rock and tank put the cover over the firepit shell making sure the handle holes in the cover line up with the handles on the shell. Next secure the bottom strap on the cover by feeding it under the shell and clipping it into the other side. Tighten the bottom strap so the cover cannot be blown off or moved during transit. Always transport the Nomad™ on its feet with the cover on to avoid damage to the powdercoat finish. Finally make sure that the unit is securely tied down with straps to prevent it from falling over or moving. Be safe and have fun!

How should I store my firepit over the winter or when not in use?

Storing Between Uses:

When your Nomad™ firepit is not in use always put the cover on the unit to prevent any water or dirt buildup in the burner. Make sure the fire pit has been off for at least 30 minutes and all rocks are cool before putting the cover on.

Winter Storage:

You should avoid leaving your Nomad™ firepit out in harsh weather conditions and extreme temperatures. When storing your firepit for the winter make sure to disconnect and remove the propane tank before brining it inside and storing in a dry and secure location. Store the propane tank separately from the unit. Put the cover on the unit to prevent dust buildup.

Who can do repairs on the gas assembly system for my firepit?

Any repairs or work done to the gas assembly should be done by a qualified gas professional. If you smell gas or a leak is discovered turn the gas valve off, disconnect propane gas tank and do not use the appliance until the leak is repaired.
